You and Me Invitations was founded by Sorcha Hogan and Amanda Watt. They met In 2006, while working together at a graphic design studio in Dublin, Ireland. It was there that they discovered a mutual love of print design, and a dream to one day start up a wedding stationery shop. After 4 years of working together and becoming dear friends, Amanda moved back home to Toronto, Canada. Although they live an Ocean apart, it could not deter their shared dream. And so, 7 years later, You and Me Invitations was born.
Sorcha is an award winning graphic and digital designer, portrait artist, film buff, cocktail connoisseur and adrenaline junkie living in Dublin. Sorcha’s passion for weddings really developed while planning her own. She thoroughly enjoyed the process and was then delighted to design invitations for friends.
Amanda is also a graphic and digital designer living in a small town just outside of Toronto. Her passion for stationery came from designing wedding invitations for family and friends. Helping couples to announce and celebrate their special day brings her so much happiness. When she’s not designing, you’ll likely find her devouring something delicious, rocking out at a concert or enjoying a glass of vino on the dock.
The blog was inspired by a social event we call ‘Crafternoon’s’. A few of us gather once a month to teach one another a new craft skill – from felting to crocheting to origami. We wanted to bring this idea of shared learning to the shop to inspire and teach couples how to add some personal DIY touches to your wedding décor.
